Climate and weather in Sardinia












Sardinia’s climate is mild: average temperature is 7°C warmer than in London and just 2°C cooler than in Costa Blanca. It is a one of favoured winter destination for cycling, rock climbing, and walking.



















Sardinia is also known as the windy island. In the summer months blows warm winds causing the land and vegetation to dry out. In the winter the westeren winds bringing warm air from Africa. Snow has been known to fall around Gennargentu where areas are higher than 500 meters above sea level.



















The temperature of the sea between January and March does not drop below 13ºC. The warmer months between June and September are the loveliest of all with waters heating up to 24ºC.
